A lot of talk about Biden's physical and mental limitations at age 79. My poor dog is equally decrepit, nearly blind, missing patches of fur on his face, tail almost bald, not long for this world. He used to run like a bullet. Has trouble walking now.
It puts me in mind of my own decline. Kilmeade observed that NFL coaches are
in their 40s and 50s. What did I do at age 50? Oh. The constitution. At age 40?
My finest work as a director. Now I have trouble breathing and sleeping. An
hour of physical work is a big deal. Don't trust myself to drive a car or build
anything involving a Skil saw. Public speaking? Not without a teleprompter.
Maybe I can conceive a new story. That's about it.
